Definition: Brand loyalty occurs when a customer develops a preference for a particular company.

Example: Apple Inc. is a large corporation that builds and leverages brand loyalty as it continues to grow.

Business insight: Brand loyalty means people make repeat purchases. Customers who make repeat purchases are a sustainable way of fuelling growth of a business. It is also less expensive than spending on marketing to acquire customers.
